Dry Fenugreek Leaves
The Dry Fenugreek Leaves is one of the oldest cultivated spice in the world. They are obtained from an annual leguminous herb, which grows upto 30-60 cms in height and produces horn-shaped pods. They are olive green and the plants are pulled up when dried or the green leaves are dried in the sun. Dry Fenugreek Leaves has strong, pleasant and quite peculiar odour. The aromatic smell dominates curry powder. It is commonly called methi, and is frequently used in the preparation of pickles, curry powders, and pastes, and and various other cuisine of the Indian subcontinent. They are ideal to be used to flavour other dishes.
